Brent Richard Force lives in southwestern Michigan with his wife, Shawn. He divides his office time between research and writing, working on his next historical fiction novel. He enjoys spending time with his wife, reading, and drawing. He is an avid hockey player and a lifelong Detroit Red Wings fan (Go Wings!).

He authored Longstreet: A General's Battle at Gettysburg  which came out in 2004. His latest release Among Men of Iron: A Novel of the 24th Michigan Infantry Regiment came out in 2008. Brent has been a guest speaker at the Kalamazoo Civil War Round Table, has held successful book signings at Barnes and Noble, has presented in schools, and has been a guest at local author receptions among many other honors. He is currently setting up future events.
